Delete your Kutrion account

You can delete your account yourself, from the app or from the web. This page explains how, and exactly what deletion removes.

Last updated 2 October 2026

From the mobile app

  1. Open Kutrion and sign in.
  2. Go to Account.
  3. Choose Delete account.
  4. Type your email address to confirm, and enter your current password. If your account has a passkey or an authenticator app, you are asked to verify with it too.

From the web app

Sign in, open Account, and choose Delete account. The confirmation is the same: your email address typed out, and your current password.

When the deletion happens

Your account is scheduled for deletion, not deleted on the spot. The erasure runs after a waiting period, seven days by default. We email the address on your account when you ask, and again the day before when the wait is longer than a day. While a deletion is pending, the email address on the account cannot be changed. Until the erasure runs, you can sign in, open Account and cancel it, with the same confirmation you used to ask. The wait is there so that someone who has learned your password cannot erase your account before you can stop them. It cannot protect you from someone who also controls your email inbox: they can read and delete our messages and reset your password.

What deletion removes

Once the erasure runs it cannot be undone. It removes your account and the data you own — your vault items and the credentials in them, your saved SSH, RDP and file connections, your sessions and devices, and your personal settings. If your account is a personal account with no other members, its organization is removed with it, and any active subscription is canceled.

Two things are deliberately not removed. Records that belong to your organization rather than to you — a credential a colleague still uses, a team you created — survive, with your authorship cleared from them. Audit records are retained as compliance records; they keep the identifiers of what was erased, which is what makes the deletion itself provable.

On your phone, the offline vault cache the app keeps is destroyed when the app signs out. See the mobile privacy policy for what the app stores on the device.

If you are the only owner of an organization

If you are the only owner of an organization that has other members, deleting your account would leave it with nobody who can administer or cancel it, so we ask you to make another member an owner first. Then delete your account as above. If you want the whole organization and everyone in it removed instead, contact us — that is a deletion of other people's accounts too, so we confirm it with you rather than acting on a single click.

If you cannot sign in

If you have lost access to your account and cannot reach the in-app path, contact us from the address on the account and we will carry out the deletion for you. We will confirm that the request comes from the account holder before we act on it, because a deletion cannot be reversed. If your account belongs to an organization, we route the request through that organization, because they are the controller for your data in it.
